Standards of refereeing in the Prem are so bad it’s gonna end in a government inquiry at this rate.

Leicester obviously knew that Anderson likes to roll the ball and then hit it so were determined to race out to block it.
Proberts attitude when they tried to help that by standing about 7 yds away and his refusal to police it properly tells you all you need to know about referees attitude to us.
I am genuinely baffled as to what it’s about but it’s embarrassing
Maybe we are being punished for calling out the dog fucking cheat Bobby Madley by members of his canine fondling crew

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
What has really really started bothering me now is this insistence on rolling the ball 2 yards before taking any free kick, i understand if its one in shooting position but they do it all over the pitch and it just allows the kick to be charged down.

Think there were 2 blocked yesterday, also feel like the deliveries seem to be worse from free kicks than corners, is this because its harder to hit the ball when its being moved or because its being rushed as someone is charging down, but i really dont see the point in it at all.

The width of the markings left by the mower seemed to be exactly 6 yards, judging by the 6 and box and penalty area.

Maddison was no where near 10 yards or metres, for that free kick. I don’t understand what Probert's problem is in sorting it out properly once it was called to his attention

The hunch backed cheating cunt. The fucking Lino had a matching hunch as well!

PS Can't wait to get shot of moody Arnie and his bad energy, he's not that good a player anyway.

Sickening, robbed yet again by the officials. Deserved the win, Antonio put a serious shift in had to endure loads of fouls against him but he didn't wilt and scored a great header.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
With the amount of balls that came into the box yesterday across the six yard area it would probably have been the perfect game for Hernandez as the miserable one does have a habit of pulling back towards the penalty spot when a wide man gets a cross in,. We may have also scored some more with Antonio in the middle with his heading ability. This is an issue not just with us but a lot of Clubs as how many sides have a top quality striker who can do it all?

Tony Gale made a valid point about our attacking play as well and especially regarding Antonio about the pace and weight of a pass in a build up. He is bang on that when we are in good positions the pace of the final ball is often totally wrong. Antonio gets in some great positions but the final release is either too strong, too weak or not accurate enough but I'm not going to knock Antonio as I thought he had a good game.

Biggest issues though in many ways this season has been our defence and that's not just the defenders and consistency not just the team but individuals. Too many holes in the team and you just know like yesterday that we won't see a game out and I can't think of too many other sides where one week individual players can be very good and the next bloody awful.

But it's a point.

Good to see players swapping shirts at full time what next a night out to celebrate such a great game every year.
Swapping shirts after a league match - I give up.

he may well be better (or less exposed) in a slightly more advanced midfield position but we have 4 ahead of him in the pecking order who are better players (wilshere, lanzini, nasri, snodgrass). the job we ask of him, slightly more defensive, he isn't capable of. over the course of an entire season, he's not done enough. definitely one that needs an upgrade this summer.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
VAR may not make much difference. You still have a person watching a screen making decisions. Those decisions may well still go against the lesser teams.
It's not like goal line decisions where a machine decides - black or white.

Also, who decides what will be VARed. Will tems have 3 challenges like in tennis or will it just be up to the ref - again who's to say he would have looked at yesterdays offsides.

But master, as an attacking midfielder he came of the bench and assited a goal and than an unfairly disallowed goal, not bad, whatever you think of him.
Hate to say it but Perez also did well...

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
There was a big gap on the left side of our area for Barnes to run into as Ogbonna was chasing the ball and got passed round.
We do that too often especially in midfield. Mark space and end up in no mans land as the ball is passed in behind to a free player.

VAR will do it, Sven.
Does it come in next season? or are they still thinking about it?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
well balbuena recognised that it was obiang who failed to track barnes for their 2nd. he is poor poor player. for a defensive mid he doesn't read the game, doesn't make tackles, doesn't track runners, doesn't show aggression or decisiveness, just poor.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Forget the 15/20 goal striker we need a 20/20 vision lino.

We are laboured up front and our final ball and interpassing was sloppy. Or in the stand.
Antonio had a good game and gave everything (& was crucified by the cunt Probert) but he is a difficult player to play with as his passing is poor.
Arnie and Anderson worked hard but the overall impression is that our forward play just doesn’t come together.
I think part of this is the weakness of our midfield. We don’t control the ball and game and force teams back. Everything is just off the cuff and disorganised without any structure.

Pellegrini has a lot of work to do.
I’m discouraged by his playing of Ogbonna & Zabaleta ahead of Diop & Fredericks and his reluctance to try the likes of Holland & Coventry off the bench.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Anderson is very inconsistent but when he's on he's very good and wins us games.

No point dropping him.

Diop is young and Pelligrini said he shouldn't be playing so many games in his first season. He rested him and Ogbonna has done OK., though obviously I prefer Balbuena with Diop.

As for needing Winston back, no thanks he's past it and has been for a, few seasons and was only average in the first place.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Anderson had a decent second half, made a couple of great runs and had a goal bound shot well blocked. However he seems to lose concentration, tends to become a bit lackadaisical and lets large chunks of the match pass him by when he should be screaming for the ball and making things happen, a very frustrating player at times.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
I thought Arnie and Anderson both worked hard yesterday.

One of the major misconceptions about Anderson is that he doesn’t fancy the hard, gritty stuff. He does. A few times yesterday be burst his guts to make tackles to win possession back. I like that.

Yet another game where our most expensive signing didn't turn up.
If Pelligrini can drop Diop after just a couple of bad games what does it take to drop Anderson.
